Semantic Pathfinder

This video presents a simplified visualization of the semantic pathfinder algorithm. The semantic pathfinder extracts semantic concepts, like a telephone, a flamingo, or a kitchen, from video by exploring different paths through three consecutive analysis steps. Each of the individual analysis steps, or their sequential combination, can be decisive for robust concept detection in video. The virtue of the semantic pathfinder is its ability to learn the best path of analysis steps on a per-concept basis, leading to generic detection of large sets of semantic concepts.
