{"id":154,"date":"2008-11-11T16:04:25","date_gmt":"2008-11-11T15:04:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~cgmsnoek\/?p=154"},"modified":"2008-11-11T16:07:51","modified_gmt":"2008-11-11T15:07:51","slug":"colordescriptor-software","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ceessnoek.info\/index.php\/colordescriptor-software\/","title":{"rendered":"ColorDescriptor Software"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~ksande\/research\/colordescriptors\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~ksande\/images\/colordescriptors_small.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"316\" height=\"226\"  align=\"right\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Two of my colleagues have just released, independently, software for computation of color descriptors. <a href=\"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~mark\" target=\"_blank\">Jan-Mark Geusebroek<\/a> released <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~mark\/downloads.html#colorsift\" target=\"_blank\">Color Sift<\/a><\/strong>, based on a recently accepted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.science.uva.nl\/~mark\/pub\/2008\/BurghoutsCVIU08.pdf\">CVIU<\/a> paper, and <a href=\"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~ksande\" target=\"_blank\">Koen van de Sande<\/a> released the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~ksande\/research\/colordescriptors\/\" target=\"_blank\">ColorDescriptor<\/a><\/strong> software, related to our 2008 <a href=\"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~cgmsnoek\/pub\/sande-colordescriptors-cvpr2008.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">CVPR<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/staff.science.uva.nl\/~cgmsnoek\/pub\/sande-colorfeatures-civr2008.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">CIVR<\/a> papers. These color descriptor have proven to be highly effective under many circumstances. See also our performance in the TRECVID 2008 video retrieval benchmark, and our winning position in the PASCAL VOC 2008 object classification competition.
